Home at last

Houston traffic sucks!

It took me an hour of driving on interstate freeways to get out of the bulk of the city. I stopped at a strip mall to get gas and a bite to eat. 260 miles from Houston to My final destination in Irving Texas.

I stopped at the Sam Houston Memorial Park to see the worlds largest statue (or so they claim). the interperitive center was closed, so I had to pee on the statue.... ok near the statue in the bushes.

I ended up finding a place to stay in Ennis Texas. I was too tired to log in, so I just crashed. I got up bright and early and challages the rush hour traffic in Dallas. Its not AS bad as Houston, but its no picnick. I did my thing in Dallas and then found that there are unmarked toll booths in Dallas. I had no idea that I was on a toll freeway until it was time to get off. I blew through a toll booth, and I suspect I'll get a big nasty bill in the mail for that one.

I was hoping to get an early flight home, but no luck. I had to kill the better part of 5 hours at the airport. I did what any sensible Canadian would. I drank beer. 4 light beers wasn't enough to make me take my clothes off, but it was enough to make me think that getting a haircut at the airport was a good idea. It turned out ok, but I paid $30.00 USD for the privledge.

1 hour 33 minutes to Denver, and then off to Caglary. I could feel that I was getting sick. It turns out I was right. Today as I type this, I have no voice. I'm hoping to be back to work tommorow with my voice back.

I had a confrence call this morning. It sounds like I'll be back in Houston in 3 weeks.

I'm going to get some more drugs. More later.
