Here's a crappy picture of fish dinner from last night just before it went on the BBQ.

Wyatt didn't catch anything, but he likes being out in the sun with me.

Kookanusa bridge

We went this evening for dinner at the Kootenai Kraft & Grocery. One way from Fortine its 71KM. We stopped on the way back and took these photos at the bridge across the lake.

I talked the kids into walking the span. It took us 45 seconds to drive over and close to 10 minutes to walk it.

Hiking pt. 2

Hiking in Lincoln County

Riley, Wyatt, and Brooklynn along with Grampy and I hiked in Kootney national forest above our cabin this afternoon.

In the sun, the heat was almost unbearable, but as soon as we got into the shade, then it was quite pleasant.

The kids posed patiently for photos and picked up leaves, rocks and sticks.





We followed the path down a gully until there was no path left. We had cool water, juice boxes and fruit cups to take along with us.

We saw 2 piles of bear scat, but no wildlife.

A visit to Upper Whitefish lake

We had a good day at Upper Whitefish lake .

The kids had great patience and we traveled 16 miles up a very sketchy road to reach this really spectacular lake.

If you get the chance, I highly reccomend it.
