HiPhone in Canada

These are some photo's of my Hiphone. Some people call the Sciphones. I'll start by telling you what it isn't. It isn't an Apple iPhone. it doesn't run apple software, and it doesn't interface with iTunes. It won't run on HSPA or CDMA networks

There is the downside. The upside is big.

1. Its cheap.
2. It LOOKS like an iphone. It is the same form factor, and approxomate weight. The screen is 3.2 inches instead of 3.5

3. IT has removable, replaceable 1200mha lithium ion batterys.
4. It has a very capable video player imbedded. avi, 3gp, mp4, etc
5. It has a good mp3 player
6. It has a 1.3mp camera / video camera
7. It has an FM receiver
8. You can install and run java applications. This means that the sky is the limit. Opera browser, Facebook mobile, etc, etc, etc.
9. It supports dual sim cards. You can have 2 phone numbers or a north american sim and a european sim.
10. It is a quad band GSM phone. It will work on any GSM network.
11. You can use it as a flash drive
12. you can use it as a webcam
13. Its got a sound recorded for dictating files
14. Its got an e-book reader
15. You can get a cool phone cheap that will work on the pay and talk networks Rogers, Fido, Wind, and any of the other carriers who use GSM.

There is probably more good stuff too, but I've only had mine a couple of weeks, and I don't have a data plan for it yet, so I can't comment on the internet connected stuff.

I think you should get one. Let me know if you are interested. randyserious@gmail.com
