If you are a big fan of google latitude like I am, then you'll be disapointed to hear the the release of firefox 3.6 doesn't support google gears. Or rather Google Gears doesn't yet support Firefox 3.6.
This means that your location awareness in gmail, laitude, etc will not function under FF3.6. On the bright side, the new FF3.6 does have a location awareness API that can be utilized to gather your location based on wifi tower or your GPS.
The other downside to not having gears support is that your gmail offline access no longer functions. While I'm highly confident this will not last long, I am feeling a bit naked without these 2 features.
On the upside, FF 3.6 now has a dedicated JavaScript processing engine which speeds rendering of those interactive web pages we all love so much. Firefox Persona's are now included as part of the core tool whereas it used to be an add on.
Stay tuned for more FF 3.6 updates.

I haven't found a workaround yet, but I'm still poking around to see what options I've got. If you find something, I'd love to hear about it.
